i need you so much closer
i haven't posted any pictures from roraima for a good few months now, and barely any from the summit of the mountain. in fact the only glimpses of what it's like on top have been in the form of silhouettes - either of a man or a tree. well this gives you a wider perspective of the terrain which stretched out as far as the eye could see... depending on how much the swirling clouds let you see that is. from this image it would be tempting to use the word lunar to describe the surface - but there's already enough moon valleys in the rest of the continent. and besides that, what this photo doesn't show is the greenery and life which exists up there. i'll try not to wait another three months before i upload a photo illustrating that natural detail.
