little water mirror planet
when i first got into photography i used to love to take panoramas - that is really wide images which are composed of multiple pictures stitched together. however it's been over 3 years since i last added one to the site. it's not that i no longer like them, but i don't think they really work well on screen. if you want to see the picture as a whole then you have to significantly reduce the height, and that means lots of details get lost. these days i tend to favour turning panoramas into little planets. i've created a brand new planet on an almost annual basis from 2011, (nearly) 2012, 2013 and now this french addition. i realise that this doesn't really solve the issue of losing the details, well i guess it just distorts all the details, but at least they fit nicely on a screen... if you have a big screen.
