an angel revealing her face
when i posted my previous picture of angel falls i bemoaned the bad weather which greeted us as we began our final ascent to the foot of the waterfall. it was particularly frustrating as the weather had been beautiful earlier on in the day. we camped on the other side of the river and when we awoke the next morning there was more blue sky and this (relatively) unobscured view of the cascading water. it seemed as though the heavens were fucking with me, treating us to a beautiful view from afar, but releasing the water clouds as soon as we got too close. of course there was a far more rational explanation other than divine animosity - it was simply that time of year when the mornings are nice and the afternoons are rainy. and if you're not impressed at seeing this vista from your hammock then you're doing your mornings wrong.
