it's time to pass it on
i took this near the beginning of a nice family walk to sheep's head lighthouse on the west coast of ireland. well the first half was nice as we strolled along the top on this path. however we decided to return on a lower path which was considerably tougher. i struggled due to the heat, my inappropriate footwear and general bad fitness. others struggled more due to being heavily pregnant, children and toddlers. i felt like the promise of ice cream when we returned to the cafe was what kept most of the group motivated. it was a very welcome sight when we finally made it to the cafe, marred somewhat when we discovered they didn't actually sell any ice cream. still, nice family day out.
