storms river bridge
this is the storms river bridge, also known as the paul sauer bridge, which spans over storms river gorge. it was built in two years in the mid-fifties, is 330 feet across and 405 feet high, apparently the highest cantilever bridge of its kind in the world. what amazes me the most about those stats is that it only took two years to build. and that was back in the fifties. i mean where the hell do you start on a project like that?
