as i mentioned yesterday, i visited victoria falls during the wettest part of the year, and i was told this meant that as soon as you got close to it you would get covered in the spray coming off the falls. it was hard to imagine when under a sunny, cloudless sky but at times it was literally like stepping under a power shower. i was pretty nervous about damaging my camera equipment, more so as i had borrowed a camera and lens from work. i wore a cheap poncho to protect this (and myself), and each time i took a photo i had to try and find a dry piece of clothing to wipe the water drops from the lens. but even though the water was literally pouring off me, it didn't breach the thin layer of plastic sheeting and all of the electronics came out unscathed and pretty dry. considerably more than my shoes and socks.
