st pancras - extra image
i went down to london last sunday, it was a last minute trip so to avoid paying an extortionate amount i ended up getting a really slow train and a really slow coach - along with buses and tubes. all in all i spent about 12 hours travelling around the country and about 2 and a half where i wanted to be - still at least i saved some pennies. one of the cheaper trips involved going from leeds to st pancras, instead of kings cross. it's the first time i'd been there since they'd renovated it and it looked pretty impressive. maybe it was the fact that the eurostar now goes from there and half the signs are written in french, but it felt like getting off the train in paris. not that i've been at a station in paris before - but the are similarities with the airport
