i was tidying up my desktop when i discovered a tiff file which i had started work on but never finished. i thought i'd process it with the same 'twisted mirror' technique as my previous photo from valle de cocora and it wasn't until near the end of the process that i discovered it was using exactly the same source photo. as this technique only uses a portion of the image which is then mirrored, i felt like this interpretation was significantly different to justify a new post - plus i like it and it's my site - so that's really the only justification i need.

like before, the title and text were taken from a sparklehorse song - this time morning hollow - which i had gently humming out of my headphones as i walked around the national park. i was walking with two friends, and a dog that we'd acquired on route, when we decided to take a little rest around the spot where i took this photo. we hopped over a fence amongst the palm trees that grow so incredibly high, plugged some speakers into my ipod, selected takk by sigur ros and then laid on the grass underneath the warming sun. it was bliss
