when i posted my first photo from spain a few days ago i alluded to a high consumption of alcohol. i arrived on a late thursday afternoon and after having a bit of food i moved onto sangria at the hostel and then onto the bars at night. i had a stinking hangover the next day which i tried to alleviate by relaxing on the beach. more people arrived on friday evening and i participated in the weekly pub crawl that was arranged by the hostel. it was another big night, which was followed by another day relaxing on the beach and, well, i think you can see where this is heading. each day when we were chilling out on the beach we'd look up at the overlooking castle and talk about walking up there - if only we could break out of this darn cycle. on day five we finally took control and went on a photowalk up to castle, when i took this and all the rest of my alicante shots. of course after that we headed back down and to the beach... and later onto the bars...
