lying in wait
i'm going to go ahead and assume that you won't recognise this creature as it's only found in madagascar and was only discovered in 2008. it's called a giraffe weevil due it's elongated neck, and i only knew of it from doing my pre-trip research of watching david attenborough documentaries. if you have 3 minutes and 14 seconds to spare you should check out this clip from the series - as this beetle exhibits some pretty strange and amazing behaviour.
