to pass the time on the flight back from marrakech to london i took out my work laptop and started processing a few of the shots which i took over the weekend. when i arrived in the airport i waited at the baggage carousel when a lady approached me and asked if i'd taken those pictures. upon saying yes she then told me how good she thought they were, in particular this black and white shot of the old man. i'm not sure if i accepted the compliment in the best way however, as i was constantly distracted by the bags circling around the carousel and when i turned to check if mine had arrived she vanished into the airport crowd. still, most of the feedback i receive is digital in the form of a social media like or comment, so it felt really gratifying for a stranger to come up to me and offer a verbal, irl like and comment.
