then you dive in it
i've said before that when i go abroad with work i often have to work very long hours. the reason for this is the events which i photograph begin in the morning and continue with parties well into the night. these parties are full of people drinking and having fun, however for the most part i need to avoid both of those things and focus on working. for the most part. the last party i was working at a few weeks ago in miami was a little different. we filled the swimming pool of a hotel with 250,000 ping pong balls and projected visuals onto the bobbly white surface. my boss then told me and my colleagues that we had to be prepared to jump fully clothed into the pool. i had my gopro with me in an attempt to capture some of this frivolity, although as soon as i leapt into the ping pong ball covered water i completely forgot about any rules of framing and composition because it was so much fun. this screengrab, which i angled completely by chance, shows me launching myself belly first into the pool of balls.
i also made a mini edit from some of the footage i captured with my gopro, here's the video
