stalk the ground
i've been snorkelling and scuba diving quite a bit, particularly during my big trip in south america, but i've never been able to capture what i saw. a few weeks ago before i left for belize i decided to purchase an underwater camera housing to remedy this. these are usually either super expensive custom made cases or cheap zip-lock plastic bags - i went for a $100 plastic bag. it was a nervy experience taking the plunge for the first time and also took some time to get used to. you couldn't really see what you were snapping at and the air inside the housing made it really buoyant and difficult to hold under the water. luckily the old technique of pointing and clicking still produces a few results provided you do enough clicking.
