fire in every finger
last night i went to see m ward play in camden. if you've heard any of his music (here are a few of my favourites ) then i imagine the most striking thing you notice is his unique voice. he has one of those voices which sounds 10-20 years older than the face from which it comes. while it's still a joy to hear this live, what stands out far more is his guitar skill. i always thought the instrumentals on his records sounded nice enough, but assumed they were a result of layering tracks upon tracks. to see him reproduce it on stage with just one acoustic guitar is just mesmerising, def one of the best guitarists i've seen live.
