the window seat
the first time i went in a helicopter was in cape town a couple of years ago. i messed up when i went to board the chopper and offered the front seat to another passenger who had arrived before me. he spent the whole flight taking in the view and snapped a couple of pictures on his phone. now, as a tourist i have no problem with this behaviour, but as a photographer it was infuriating. so when i went to board this helicopter the following year in neighbouring zimbabwe i made a point of being first in the queue to ensure the premium window seat. i regret nothing.
