rehearsal house
on the weekend i went to sort out my storage unit, a task i'd been putting off for way too long. i wanted to downsize, and because of work i could only make an appointment in a six hour window on the saturday. i made the one hour journey on the underground, talked through my options and then went to open my current unit and assess what new size i required. at the precise moment i reached for the lock i realised that i had left the keys at home. i made a point of picking them up before i left in the morning, but i could now visualise exactly where the correct keys were, as opposed to the useless lumps of metal in my pocket. that was a low point, but it was worth returning as once i got it open it only took an hour to move everything to a unit 30% of the size. also i saw this building when i first arrived at the station, so i picked up my camera along with the keys to photograph it on my return. partly because i thought it looked cool, and partly because i wanted something to show for a pointless two hour round trip.
