lost in a forest
on the weekend i went on a short trip with friends from work to wales. it was forecast to be a wash out on saturday, and the rain on friday night was an ominous sign. but when we awoke the next day the skies were clear so we set out on a walk. it was pretty windy along the way but the rain never came, instead we were treated to blue skies and warm sun. after traversing fields and climbing over barbed wire fences we found ourselves in a forest which had the tallest trees and the spongiest floor. the trees managed to completely cut out the wind and it was a little oasis of calm inside. we ended up staying there for hours drinking guinness in the sun, firing a catapult at the empties and bouncing around on the soft ground.
