don't it make you smile?
i spent most of my time in australia at the start of the year drinking and catching up with old friends, which is exactly what i'd hoped for. i spent a few days being a tourist, and one of those led me to rottnest, an island a few miles of the coast of western australia, and home to the quokka. these marsupials pretty much only exist on this island, move like kangaroos, and always have a smile on their face. i'm sure it must be anthropomorphic, and their face doesn't accurately reflect their emotional state... but then again they do live on paradise, which made me smile.
