past the rubicon
this is an old shot from when i was trekking around tsingy de bemaraha in madagascar. there were a few of these bridges dotted around, connecting one spiky rock to another. i realised i had no idea how they go about building a bridge like this. every way i look at the people who worked on it must have been extremely brave. i briefly googled to satiate my curiosity, but i was distracted before i arrived at an answer by this mesmerisingly terrifying video of a swaying suspension bridge from the 1940s
