each one is a setting sun
after shooting the shit with ubai around the fire, i retired to get a few hours sleep. my alarm was set though, and at about one in the morning i crawled out of the tent to discover that i was surrounded by a multitude of stars. the night was bitterly cold, so i wore every time of clothing i had as i set up my tripod. i usually take my first shot at a cacophonous iso to get a sense of what elements are in the frame, then i drop to a loud iso and play around with the exposure, before getting as quiet as possible with a longer shutter speed. this was one of those middle shots, where the iso is usually a bit too noisy, and i'm not entirely sure but i may have knocked the camera at some point in the ten second exposure. either way i'm filing this one under happy accidents.
