a feeling outside it
a few days after christmas i went to the lake district wildlife park and caught the end of their birds of prey display. this vulture was already airborne when i took out my camera, and i snapped a few shots as the animal sped towards me and caught my lens with it's wings. twice. someone in the audience remarked that i must have got a good picture, but unfortunately my autofocus wasn't as fast as the vulture. i liked a couple of the first ones i took, when the bird was launching into the air, so i combined them for this picture, as well as cloning out the prototypically northern bird handler.
