carve a path
the camera equipment i use hasn't changed drastically in the last 10 years. my nikon d810 of course has a far superior sensor than the nikon d60 i used for this shot, as well as other advancements such has a much better iso for low light photography. but i'm pretty much using the same kinds of lenses, a super wide angle, a general zoom and a short prime lens. i occasionally use other cameras, whether it's a canon 5d mark 2/3/4 when i'm travelling with work or a gopro when i'm in snow or water, but almost every photo i take is with my nikon. whilst i'd like to get some new lenses to play with, i'm also really curious about getting a drone. i love how you're able to capture sights and angles which you'd pretty much never get to see any other way. i was tempted when the last black friday came around, but ended up spending my savings on a vr headset for my ps4 instead. in hindsight that was a fairly astute purchase for when you're locked down and want to escape reality, but i'm still tempted to take the plunge with a drone for when the world opens up to travelling again.
this photo was taken back in 2012 before drones were invented, so the only way to capture this kind of aerial photography was to go paragliding.
