in the hatch
i took this shot early last year in canary wharf in london during the winter lights festival, where the streets are lined with lots of art installations with different lighting effects. it's these cool random events which makes me like living in london, and also makes me wonder how the city will be in the coming months with the threat of the pandemic still looming. it feels too simplistic to think that it will be the same just with everyone wearing masks, and judging by the outcry at the government enforcing mask wearing in shops even that small sacrifice doesn't seem like a guarantee. and that's all before thinking about the potential winter wave... y'know i really need to stop reading the news so much.
