pull me in to your perfect circle
just as we were leaving south georgia on our way to the antarctic peninsula a solar halo appeared above our heads. fortunately i was out on deck at the time so i could witness the phenomenon for myself, unfortunately my cameras only had long lenses and i couldn't fit it all in the frame. so i ran down to my cabin and borrowed my dad's mirrorless camera, attaching his wide angle lens as quick as i could, hoping that the halo wouldn't fade back into the sky. it wasn't quite as vivid when i made it back out on deck, but there was just enough still visible for me to pull out in photoshop after.
