through this entropic place
i know it's not an original observation, but it's so undeniable that it absolutely bears repeating, the blues in antarctica are simply majestic to behold. moseying around cierva cove we were able to get really close to the floating ice sculptures, and the overcast sky above apparently made the ideal conditions to get the blues to really pop and shine. back on the ship there was actually a whole lecture explaining the reasons how the ice produces this captivating colour, but i can barely remember any of the details. which i'm fine with, i'm happy to believe in magic instead.
