waiting for a signal
to be honest i'm fairly ignorant when it comes to buddhism, particularly when it comes to the different liturgies which are performed inside a temple. despite this... or perhaps it's as a result of this... i found it captivating to watch these rituals and the people performing them when i visited a temple just outside tainan city. the ritual here involved holding the red object and circling it around a forest of smoking incense, stationed on top of a giant cauldron beset either side with metal dragons. now i'm not saying buddhism is better than your religion, but c'mon all of that is pretty damn cool.
