sure we'll get this right next time
this is a double exposure photo i took when i first arrived in fenchihu combining a shot from close to the town and one from up in the bamboo forest. both fenchihu and the nearby alishan are nature reserves full of beautiful forests of bamboo, oak, cypress and spruce trees, with quite a few being thousands of years old. i read that the trees in the forest release an aroma with something called phytoncides, and the ones from cedar trees boost the immune system in humans and can help alleviate nerve tension and improve the quality of sleep. the japanese have a word for spending time amongst the trees called shinrin-yoku, which in english translates as forest bathing, and is another reason why humans really should make the effort to take care of nature
here's another double exposure, combining bamboo shoots and ferns, taken from outside the hut while the rain was trying to give me a different kind of bath
