breaking the rules
in many respects there are a lot of things wrong with this photo. compositionally, focally, expsourely (i think i made that last work up) it ticks all the wrong boxes. there was even a rainbow in the opposite direction, but i chose to point the camera at nothing in particular. as david brent would say, it doesn't "play by the rules", but i kinda like it. it was the kind of weather that has been typical for most of november: freezing cold, falling rain, and a little tease of sunshine. i took it a few weeks ago when i arrived at work early, so early that everything was locked up and i had to wait for someone with keys to let me in. i learnt my lesson there, no more early starts for me.
