winter walk to work
if you live in the uk i'm sure it hasn't escaped you that the weather has changed rather drastically over the last few days - it's become a lot colder and a lot snowier. usually i enjoy the second of these changes - after all it doesn't snow in britain that frequently so it's quite a nice novelty when it does. i'm not really feeling it this year though. i think part of the reason for this is because now that i'm a rider instead of a driver the effect is more pronounced - the roads are simply far too treacherous to ride on (or at least for someone with my limited experience). as a consequence i've been demoted to the level of pedestrian again, which means walking to work in the cold. this is the view, at least when i turn to look behind me, near the beginning of my journey when i walk to work.
