robinson - extra image
it can't be a great deal of fun being a goalkeeper in front of the opposition supporters, this is more true when your the keeper (or ex-keeper) of the opposition's rivals. or if your bad performance for england contributed to your country not qualifying for the european championships. i think you see where i'm going with this... robinson got a lot of abuse. this included "you let your country down", "you fat bastard", "england's number six" and, after going 4-0 ahead, "robbo, what's the score? robbo, robbo what's the score?"
