brooklyn bridge - extra image
i've put up a couple of shots alluding to the brooklyn bridge, but here's one on the actual bridge itself. it was fairly high on the list of places i wanted to go to in new york, and part of the reason that i brought a tripod on holiday with me. it also turned out to be one of those rare public places that i didn't feel too self concious whipping out the tripod - that probably had something to do with the fact there were a few others doing the same thing. i'd have probably looked a bit strange without one. having said that it was a bit difficult to blend in as i crouched in the middle of the path, with joggers and cyclists navigating around me.
i actually quite liked the colours straight out of the camera, but i thought this treatment let everything stand out more, here's the original
