for the record
i was walking around the town of karakol in kyrgyzstan with my friend when we met this guy outside a mosque. we started chatting and ended up in a very deep and intense conversation which lasted almost 2 hours. topics ranged from politics in syria, to gay rights, to self dependence and friendship. at one stage he identified that my friend was a very closed person and wanted him to open up with questions he insisted were just a question... not an examination! it ended up being a fairly exhausting albeit memorable encounter, and i must admit that there was a small part of me that felt inordinately proud that a random kyrgyz man didn't pick on me for being a closed person.
