those persuasive rays
before we left the office for cape town i went through everything that we needed to capture with the team. there was something each morning called 'sunrise adventures' which jumped out at me, and i was told that it involved accompanying and photographing people as the did various early morning activities in cape town. it immediately appealed to my traveller nature, but they also warned me that it required waking up very early, and the work is so hard that from their experience you really needed all the sleep you could get. i was unconvinced, as far as i could see you get to go on fun adventures for free, and consequently everyone was happy for me to cover all of them. turns out we were both right, it was a mammoth effort to wake up after 3 hours sleep to go trekking up a mountain, but they were the highlights of my working week and views like this made it totally worth it.
