i felt lost and found with every step i took
this was the first proper trip that i went on in madagascar. i tried to make plans before i left, and when i arrived me and my friend spent the afternoon trying to organise a bit more. the trouble is we're both really bad at planning, and when we were in south america we much preferred a more causal/spontaneous approach. after we woke up early the following morning and failed to book the trip we wanted we decided just to get on a bus and see what happened. when we arrived we met a random guide at the bus station, who later introduced us to a french mother and son that wanted to go to the same place as us. this allowed us to halve the cost of the trip and we ended up spending an awesome few days together. the whole experience retaught us an important lesson - travelling is best when you don't plan things too forensically, and things really do work out if you trust your instincts and go with the flow.
