welcome to the jungle
during my week in ireland i was based in a holiday cottage on a peninsula on the south west coast. you could see the ocean from the window, and as the weather was so good when i awoke on the first morning i borrowed a bicycle to see if i could get a bit closer to the water. as i got closer the roads turned into paths which turned into dirt trails until i got to a gated field. the occupants all stared at me and then slowly started edging closer to form the welcome party you see here. now i'm not saying i was intimidated by the neighbours, but it was at that moment i felt like i was close enough to the water and instead made a hasty retreat.
