back to the ceiling
the medina in essaouira was far less stressful and hectic than the marrakech equivalent, but just as labyrinthine. i definitely did a few circles as i tried find my way around, but it was a pleasure to get lost in as there was a surprise around each corner. on my final night we eventually found a recommended restaurant called mega loft. they had good food, chilled live music and funky decor plastered all over the walls and the ceiling.
