this morning i walked around holland park like i do every year - however this photo was taken a week earlier when the japenese garden was completely transformed by the snowy weather which hit london. i had been watching the snow build up from the window by my desk, and like a school kid i couldn't wait for my lunch break to go and play in the park. it takes about twenty minutes to walk from my office to the kyoto garden, which leaves another twenty there before i have to start walking back. just before i was about to return i framed one last photo of the pond when some tourists walked behind me, disturbing some pigeons who took flight and scattered right in front of my lens. i seem to have quite a lot of luck photographing birds in that park.
