pulls like a magnet
over ten years ago i was on my way to cape town to go shark diving, but was hospitalised with pneumonia and never made it. three years ago i returned to south africa with work, and booked to go shark diving only to see it cancelled at the last minute because of bad weather conditions. a year after that the same thing occurred, and adverse weather meant that it wasn't meant to be. it was starting to look like it would never happen, but when i returned to cape town again in may i finally made it all the way into the cage in the freezing atlantic waiting for sharks to visit. this sevengill shark was the biggest i saw, but unfortunately there were no great whites in the area, and hadn't been for sometime. so whilst i technically achieved my decade long mission to go shark diving, i still feel like i need to be around some great white sharks to feel a true sense of accomplishment. that may just be an excuse i tell myself so i can go back underwater, but that's fine with me
