mother mountain
this year is the first time in six years that i didn't travel to cape town in the month of may. around this time last year i mentioned that i have a tradition of posting an early morning photo, which are usually the best when they're from the top of table mountain, where i witnessed the sunrise in 2015 and 2017. i didn't make it to the top in between in 2016, but i did go on an early morning hike up lions head which presented me with this awesome view of the mountain. i've always thought that it must be such a privilege to live in a city where this monument dominates the skyline, and despite my nocturnal nature, this is certainly a view worth waking up early for.
