shrinking maps
this is adesa, one of two kyrgyz sisters we met at a yurt camp in tosor who helped us take a marshrutka to bishkek in kyrgyzstan. they both spoke very good english, due to adesa's sister having lived in holland for the past 20 years. as a result they were very helpful in translating russian at the yurt camp, in addition to making the journey feel a lot shorter than it actually was. fun fact, this is what the curious boy was gawking at when we were sat in the back of the bus. and in fairness, it was probably the first time he'd seen someone bend metal wire with some pliers into a bouquet of flowers.
