when time tells you to
for the last 10 years it's been tradition around here to post a 'best of' list on new years eve, usually selecting my favourite shots from each month. however this year has been like no other so i'm fine to take a break from that tradition. the year started on a good foot as i returned to georgia to go snowboarding in february. but right after i came back i got sick for a month. when i recovered the whole planet got sick as coronavirus surged around the globe and i was locked down again. things began to slowly improve, and i even managed a little trip to cornwall, but the year is ending with rates as high as ever. work was also disrupted by the pandemic, and after spending some of the year on furlough i ultimately decided to leave, finishing up this afternoon. i worked there for over 5 years and most of the shots i’ve posted in that time are as a result of travels i did because of that job. it’s a strange feeling to move onto something different, but then again this year has forced everyone to get used to something different, and i’m optimistic that next year is going to feel all the better as a result. happy new year.
