big yellow taxi
i know, i know - it's as clichéd as guinness in ireland or monks in thailand but i was never not going to take a picture of a yellow cab in new york city. this was in times square, which was a slightly longer walk than i had anticpated from my hotel. i would clasify times square as a place that everyone should visit once and then never go back to. it seemed that the people followed at least the first bit of that advice as it was absolutely rammed. i'd left my hotel and walked for over an hour in search for somewhere to have some dinner, after seeing what times square had to offer i concluded that the thai restaurant right next door to my hotel was the best option so made the neon round trip back. in hindsight my feet probably would have thanked me more if i had travelled in the yellow cars instead of just taking pictures of them... but my wallet won that argument.
