find another planet - extra image
on my second day trekking in andringitra we awoke before sunrise and set off to climb up pic boby, the second highest mountain in madagascar. the peak is less than 3000m, and while i've summited mountains twice that before, i still found it extraordinarily challenging. i figured i must have become really unfit since my last big trek. as you arrived closer to the top the landscape started to look more and more lunar, so it was a nice coincidence that we timed the ascent when the moon was perfectly nestled in the valley between these rocks. all those water and catching-my-breath breaks were certainly all part of the plan y'understand.
