sharing a smile - extra image
i took this on chinese new year last year, capturing a smiling moment between mother and daughter who was throwing fun snaps onto the ground. at least i think that's what they're called in this country, it's those toys that make a bang when you throw them against a hard surface, i had to search online for the name. according to wikipedia they're also known as poppers, pop-its, whack pops, whip'n pops, pop pop snappers, whiz-bangers, snap dragons, devil bangers and lil' splodeys... i have a suspicion that chris morris may have edited that wikipedia entry.
