la ciudad - extra image
back in the summer of 2013 i went for a short trip to spain with two friends i'd met and travelled with in south america. by that time it had been over a year since we'd parted ways in colombia, but i remember walking the sunny spanish streets in flip flops and hearing the spanish language from the locals and it felt like i'd been transported back. i also got that great travelling feeling of discovering places by accident, with la ciudad de las artes y las ciencas being the best example. we had no idea that it even existed, but a random decision to go to valencia was compounded by a random choice to walk down a particular street and we ended up in this architectural playground.
