suspended in this bliss - extra image
this furry creature is a weddell seal, known for it's cute feline face, and it was chilling on an iceberg floating off of danco island in antarctica. i spotted it whilst i was on the island photographing penguins, and on the boat ride back to the ship i asked if we could make a detour via this iceberg to get a closer look. we didn't have a great deal of time as other passengers also had to return from the island, but fortunately it was enough to circle the berg as the seal lifted its head to observe the interruption.
