down is the new up
i was in kyrgyzstan for the last couple of weeks of the world cup, which meant i was there during england’s best run in the competition in over 50 years. we made it all the way to the semi finals, but perhaps the stormy weather which left this big puddle was an omen for what was to come. later that night me and some travelling friends were huddled under a blanket in front of a big screen as the rain returned. by the time the game finished we were all appropriately sodden to match our moods. it only seemed to last the night though, and the next day the clouds lifted and i got back on a horse.
