getting blood from a stone
i mentioned yesterday that i was going to a gig last night. and i mentioned two days ago that i had a stinking cold. despite the latter i still managed to enjoy the former. however after the gig i went round a mates house and managed to be cajoled into cocktails, drinking games and going to town. a lot of whisky and a kebab with cheesy chips later i stumbled back home sometime after four. yeah, i'm sure paying for all that today. all that has got nob all to do with this picture. i took this (or these) at the women's weaving project in peru when they were demonstrating making dye from, er, some little stones. this made a red dye, which you can't tell as i made the picture black and white. if you're itching to see the true colour then...
