i travelled around peru and bolivia on a tour organised by gap adventures. i was considering booking things individually myself, but as i was only there for two weeks it seemed to be a lot simpler and easier to let someone else sort out all of the details. as well as organise the tour, gap also work together with an organisation called planeterra where they help support a women's weaving project - which is a community of women who create different kinds of textiles. this helps them keep the skills that have been passed down from generation to generation, as well as generating an income so that they can provide for their families. we popped in on the way to the sacred valley, and here's one of the aforementioned women.
