spit take
as i mentioned last month, i spent the day driving around etosha national park, following a map of the watering holes and recent sightings. this was the first watering hole where we found signs of life, manifested in a solitary and thirsty giraffe. it was for situations such as this that when i bought my new nikon d810 i decided to get a 28-300mm lens. while the majority of my photographic output is taken at less than 50mm, there are times when i want to get a bit closer, and i was right that a safari in africa fell under that category. also as it's now my only full frame lens, and i'm pretty broke from getting that plus a new camera, i figured it may be a while until i get to play with any other range on this camera. now if i can just figure out how to focus i could be unstoppable.
